Can you run a 86-88 flywheel with 89-91 rotors and counter weight or do you have to run the 89-91 flywheel with those rotors? Thanks, by the way it is a NA.

You can mix and match the flywheels...just be sure to use the proper counterweights...it'll all work out. Its when you use T2 stuff on an NA when its a little tricky, and vice versa..

So then I would use the 89-91 counter weight with the 86-88 flywheel then?

Rotaryman88 06-18-2002 10:30 PM

Use the counterweights that match the flywheel...so use the 86 counterweight w/ the 86 flywheel...I believe thats how it works, I'll double check...

ok, thanks

You have to run 86-88 rotors with the 86-88 counterweights. for 89-91 rotors you have to use the 89-91 front and rear counterweights. The counterweight is built into the stock flywheel.

NO! You MUST use the matching counterweights for the rotors. 86-88 and 89-91 rotors are different weights, etc.

I don't think that he would have a very smooth motor with his proposed setup. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...>/rolleyes.gif

Yea, really sorry about that...it was late last night, I was just leaving work. Won't happen again... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png
