Looking in my manual I came across an illustration showing a fifth gear/reverse switch. The book doesn't say anything about it other than showing it in the picture.
My question is what does this do and can it be the reason my I grind going to fifth? |

Grinding has to do with the internals of the transmission
turbo trans? those always break 5th, that gear just has a small synchro
lol i know someone who tried and failed at replacing synchros on a toyota truck and failed by a putty knife
I think the 5th gear switch sends a signal to the ECU for closed loop ?
The reverse activates the reverse lights. |
