I was checking out the Camden website and saw where they are nearing completion of a FI supercharger setup. I thought the manifold that they made was pretty interesting looking.

its funky because it puts the tb before the sc, to eliminate the need for a bov or bypass vavle of any sort.
|
Yea atkins is going to be selling that. Interesting none the less.

BTW, I know the eaton blowers have an internal bypass valve as well. |

Thats not funky, its how positive displacement blowers(roots, eaton, lysholm, etc) are done. It minimizes the pumping losses at idle/cruise because the s/c is spinning in a vacuum.
BTW, I know the eaton blowers have an internal bypass valve as well. IIRC the homemade s/c setup was run turbo style, with a bypass valve between s/c and tb. |
id like to take a oment to point oiut how funny it is that their pic features a car with an engine bay as ass dirty as the rest of ours.
also, id liek to poinmt out that i've been drinking malt liquoir. thank yuo |
We are applying the finishing touches on our EFI system! Though we have yet to put a final price on this system, it should be in the ballpark of $3800.00
:o :o :O |
$3800, ouch.
Why do all that work, and use that throttle body? Its restrictive and useless on that manifold. They could have just used a single butterfly one from a 5.0 V8 or something. |
hey what's that yellow thing on the back of that tb in the pic? mines white and is sucking air in..very loudly sucking air in.. i meant to put this question in a thread of its own but had no idea what I was asking about...thanks
|
The yellow thing is the nipple for the coolant line that goes straight down to your block and wraps around the back of your upper intake manifold. How's your car running? Are you losing coolant?
