Alright guys,

I just bought the shell of a 10AE that I'm hoping to turn into a track car. so I have a few questions. here is a little background. The car has now harness in it at all, but it has all the brakes/suspension.



1) where can i find a wiring diagram for the TII?

2)are the brakes power assist?

3)i think i only need to wire up a starter, brake lights and maybe the brakes (if they are power assist). what am i missing? Fuel pump? I do not really want to use an interior harness but would it be easier?

find an online FSM (Factory Service Manual) a couple FC sites have them for download, i dont remember any off hand tho, search, you should find it easily.



The brakes are power, but i dont think you need to wire anything, it uses vacuum from your engine in the brake booster, its not actually "powered" like with voltage. at least not that i know.



For an interior harness, if its gonna be a true track car id suggest setting up a big switch box, that way if you find you need to power something else as well you can always add it on. I'm pretty sure for the interior the only stuff thats there is the:

Ignition switch, fuel pump, brake lights, interior lights and the wiring for the HUD which powers your warning beeps and ****.



do you have an engine harness and **** or are you just focusing on the interior right now?

Thanks a ton for the responce. I have a feeling getting the interior wired is going to be the most challenging thing for this build (or at least i hope so). I have a lead on buying a engine harness but i do not have that at the moment, nor do i have any driveline components.



The car is a shell right now, and monday it gets an appointment for a cage to be put in. After that i think I'll try to get everthing I'll need wired up and get the car "road worthy" before the summer ends. Then this winter put in all the suspension i want, have the engine ported, paint the shell, etc.



I have seen interiors of other race cars, and yea they just have switches for everything. I'm sure I'll have a ton of other questions reguarding everything as the project builds up.



Alright, time to look for that factory service manual.

if you're really making a race car, id just ditch the factory wiring completely. like kevin said, run a fuse block for power, and make sure you have extra's in case you wanna add stuff later.

I figure I'll keep the engine harness and use that, but I will not use the interior harness. I may end up swapping turbos and stuff, so the engine harness will come in handy for a standalone ECU
