$600 for that thing is nuts, anyone know someone who has one, or something like it? This is something I want to make a mold of!

13BAce 05-27-2002 06:47 PM

You should make this for me, minus the hood and spoiler:

Rob x-7 05-27-2002 07:06 PM

Do we know anyone who has one?

Defdinitely no. It's $2500. :o Would it be possible to just make one using a stock front bumper and then making a mold?

Rob x-7 05-27-2002 07:14 PM

You want the whole thing, or just from the moulding down?

ILUVMY88CABRIO 05-27-2002 07:22 PM

I'd be interested if you did the whole bumper, and if the price was less than $2500.

Probably the whole bumper because of the fixed headlights. That R-Magic is a one piece nose, but the bumper looks just like a stock 89-91 bumper that has been modified.

Rob x-7 05-27-2002 07:38 PM

I dont like those lights, the bumper from the moudling down is nice, that kit looks like a Z-car, we have dicussed this in the past, lol. The first bumper would be $6000, after that $2499 sounds good https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif

SOLD!! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif

I know that if you could copy that bumper and sell it at a decent price, you would have TONS of people wanting to buy it. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png You could alway find like 15 - 20 people serious about buying it, and have them each put like $250 down, and that could be your funding to make the mold, buy the fiberglass, ect. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

Do you like the RRR front end?

Rob x-7 05-27-2002 07:46 PM

The corksport looks VERY do-able, how much do they sell it for anyhow?

About $400.

Rob x-7 05-27-2002 07:50 PM

I just checked it, it must not be fiberglass for $400.

That is the one that I am ordering next month when I have a garage to store it in.

What is it made out of if it isn't fiberglass.

Rob x-7 05-28-2002 04:02 PM

FOr $400 if its fiberglass I would be shocked. Someone contact them and see. Hey Mike: Why store it, put the thing on and enjoy it! I would reccomend fitting any of these custom parts before paint in case they have to be modified. Also keep in mind with any fiberglass nose, if you bump it, its done. Maybe it is urethane?[QUOTE]I know that if you could copy that bumper and sell it at a decent price, you would have TONS of people wanting to buy it. You could alway find like 15 - 20 people serious about buying it,[QUOTE]< I bet only about 3 would get serious, not hardly enough to be worth the effort, sorry to say :( It would be a labor of love, and I would still have to buy at least one to copy.

kimo3 05-28-2002 05:03 PM

I would be interested if you can make to R magic one

Rob x-7 05-28-2002 08:25 PM

Get someone to buy a R-magic bumber, and I can make a mold for it. Then we could sell 2 or 3 of them, lol What confuses me is the fenders, does the bumper go over them and attatch? Then you would still have to make the headlight covers, headlights.

kimo3 05-28-2002 09:53 PM

I have never noticed that about the R-magic front soiler, I would think that it goes over the fender

ILUVMY88CABRIO 05-29-2002 12:19 AM

I'm pretty sure it goes over the lower part of the fender. Like this.........

Right now I am waiting till I move into my house again. At the apartment I have no room for the kit. In the house I will have my own garage with a lift. I plan on hanging the kit and preping the car myself (so it gets done right) so I will need to store the kit for a little while till I paint it. Also I know that the front end would be delicate, but this will end up being my second car. I have big plans (turbo conversion, fmic, etc) for it, just will happen slowly. I will be in the house in 5 weeks so it isn't too long.

~Mike

Ps. I would definetly be interested in getting a rmagic kit if someone makes them.
