Dunno if anyone would know this since its would pertain to buying an FC new...But, a while ago I did wheel bearings on my T2 and discovered a plastic rubber spring spacer on the left front side. Thread here: https://www.nopistons.com/forums/index.php?...topic=18322&hl=
j9fd3s explained it as a support mechanism for a sagging spring...mostly found on domestic cars. Recently I've been checking out the Evolution8 forums (so shoot me) and found that some owners said their Evo8 was shipped with spring spacers on the front... I'm sure the spacer on my T2 was put in sometime afterwards...but could it possibly be a left over piece from when the car was first manufactured? Anyone know if FC's were shipped this way? Here's basically what it looks like: |
Interesting.. i'll look at mine and see don't recall every seeing one though. But, I don't have factory struts either so they could have been left out on accident.

i dont think so, if you look in the parts fische that should answer your question

you can buy those things at any car part store. they dont come stock on rx-7s and i dont think they come stock on any car. its just a temporary cheap way to help sagged springs.
