i was looking at the stock manifold what is the little flap inside of it?? someone told me i can cut it out but i dont want to cut on a performance part,is there an aftermarket turbo manifold that doesnt require modifications? I have a BNR stage 1 on the way, and was wondering if i could get a manifold that would bolt up to stock specs? plz help thanks..

If you were gonna go with a different manifold than stock, you could have bought a t4 turbo or another hybrid instead of a BNR.

But in my opinion, I wouldnt worry about the stock manifold... its a nice efficient short runner design. Changing to an aftermarket just opens up a whole new door of obstacles and things you need to buy: Like piping and welding to make your exhaust/downpipe line up, an adapter flange for the turbine housing, external wastegate, clearance issues, and all that ****...

I think you made the right choice going for a BNR tho, makes things a lot easier. I'm actually saving up for a Stage 2 or 3

and that flapper inside of the manifold is the twin-scroll actuator... closes/opens the inner scroll.

most people say its worthless and just get rid of it. s5 T2s didnt have that flap door. You'll have to weld the hole shut when you remove it.

Search around, there's probably a write up on it on it around here somewhere
