im pretty sure the switch your talkin about it the switch that turns on at what temp your FANS start going on. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.gif

jwteknix 12-24-2006 03:57 PM

dude tyvm i no longer use the stock thermal fan so i guess i no longer have to have it connected if any one need a stock tII fan i have 2 both of them work.

teknics 12-24-2006 04:58 PM

the stock fan doesnt need a switch, its not electric. it works on a coil of wire growing and shrinking to decide how tight it is on the shaft to determine at what ratio it spins to the rpm of the e-shaft pulley.

you are incorrect. FD's fans ARE ELECTRIC, i have one https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/boink.gif

you are referring to older rx7s only https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.gif

which i also own (1g and 2g)

jwteknix 12-25-2006 09:35 AM

its for the second gen duh but anyway i went through the haynes manual and found out there is (well used to be) a small efan in front of the radiator witch uses the switch to turn it on. i think its a seconday cooling fan and also for the ac condensor fan but yeah i dont need the connection for it b/c i removed the a/c system and put a koyo rad with the fiero e fan witch is plenty of cooling. any way thanx for your guys help merry xmas
