perusing through the manual last night and saw that the turbo is supposed to be encased in shields..

realized after having done the exhaust that the fc i purchased only has the shield between the manifold..

its exposed from the bottom.. should i be concerned

No, i woudnt worry to much. Just dont park over high dry grass, and dont run over and paper or plasic bags in the road. Those manifold get extreamly hot and can catch fire on almost anything non metalic



Just be safe.. and you'll be fine.

stock they have a maze of shields. you should have the one over the exhaust manifold, between the turbo and intake, and over the turbo, the rest are bs and in the way

Yeah, keep the one between the Turbo and Intake manifold. This one keeps heat away from the intake area. Plus if your Fuel Damper decides to leak. that gives you a little safety zone.. instead of fuel dropping directly on the Turbo. Can you say KA-BOOM???
