whats the maximum boost you can run on the stock top mount intercooler, series 4, and what happens if you boost too much?

I dont about how much boost but ifyou boost to much you are lucky if your pipes blow off. And if they dont. . ......................

I've been going to 15 majority of the time, when i got it went to 17psi

thats a lot. the top mount ic doesnt work all that well too cool the air, most people say around 10psi to be safe, but if you really wanna be safe make sure the intake temps stay under 50-55c, it will want to detonate more when they go over that.

10psi is safe, past 12 is definately pushing it...
