FC mods

So guys I'm still new to the FC world but I just wanted to get an understanding of the different mods and upgrades possible and what works best. So if any of you all could give a list of different upgrades, price ranges, and what power gains or any gains one might see from the different mods. Also what mods you deem more important or ones you would definitely upgrade first.

Thanks for any advice!

You can disconnect the a/c system or power steering system for a gain of 5 hp per system. A very useful upgrade would be to get a yellow top optima battery. beyond that it gets pretty involved for upgrading, enlarging ports for power, engine swaps are never simple, and turbos generally are not bolt on.

So mostly after the a/c and power steering there is new turbo, and porting the engine. What about suspension and coil overs? and exhaust upgrades or intake upgrades? Also what would you say would be prices and power out of different turbos available for the FC engine? And how big of a project is porting the engine?

Re: FC mods

im not too familiar with turbos, but installing them would be harder than an engine swap from what i have read. Suspension is pretty straight forward i have 4 way adjustable on the front and 7 way adjustable on the rear i believe. It depends on what you prefer and can afford but it will go a long way for looks and performance. exhaust is pretty limited, you can not put glass packs on because the higher exhaust temps will melt it, however a good stainless exhaust will be pricy but add some power and you can get some nice noise as well. porting the engine would require removal and if you dont have the tools a shop visit.

Re: FC mods

check out mazdatrix.com for parts and pricing, they have steep prices but usually you can get a feel for how much the high end of the price spectrum gets. Oddly enough oreilly auto parts actually has a lot of parts for the fc as well. if you want to change aerodynamics i would look into RE Amemiya parts but be warned they are pretty pricy.
