Okay, search for my Rx-7 took a snag. Everyone talks about how great the turbo II is, and I'm wondering what model that is, or more specifically, what the difference between all the models there are? Can anyone help me with this?

Oh, just curious, I know someone who wants to sell an Rx-7, it's black, with gold trim on the side, and it says Twin Turbo right on the side. He wants $6000, is that a good deal?

Thanks.

is it a 2nd gen model? i.e. 86-91

Cause 2nd gens didn't come with twin turbos and that's just a sticker he put on there. Although, he might have done a custom turbo job. but if it is a 2nd gen that's still pretty damn expensive.

Look at his location, he's in Canada, so it probably isn't $6k US dollars.

I doubt it's twin turbo unless he's done a 13B-REW conversion. And it'd be more than $6k if he's done so.

All stock Trubo IIs came with a hood scoop to feed the top mount intercooler. That's the easiest way to tell.

Yeah, it's a second gen 7. I even looked under the hood, and there's two turbo's there, not the sequentials under an FD's hood. This is really strange, and he says its factory stock.

Oh, and just to show how expensive these cars are in Canada. A 93 FD I found, is selling for $23,000 in canadian currency. And that, is actually a common price.

If I can, I'll try to get a picture, but the side of the car says 'Twin Turbo' on it, and under the hood, it backs up that claim. Then again, maybe it is a custom job, anyone hear of that?

So, after extensive pestering (my friend told me the scoop) He told me it was a custom job. So he wants $6000 for the car, with the turbo's (two small things, really), and it detonates like hell. So I told him, maybe later. I think I'm just going after a straight turbo II. But a little confused on that, when I look for a turbo II, just what am I looking for?
