BLEH Martin I'm gonna search around a few forums for you. |
Running a few searches and gathering a general consensus...
OK looks like all FC coils are the same. S4 and S5s. If it comes out of an FC, it will work in any other year/model FC. FC coils are "tougher" than FD coils, not clear on it being a real power upgrade as it is mostly a reliability upgrade it would seem. You can fit the lead coil in the same place the stock FD coil is if you trim one of the brackets, don't know if you want to do that. This is an excellent opportunity to relocated your coils if you want. Remember all FC coils around ground out at the mount, I don't know about FD coils. If you put them somewhere the base isn't grounded very well, add a ground strap. I can't seem to find anything about the harness plugs.. Same? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/dunno.gif |
Honestly, look for the Cosmo coil pack setup and mount. Very clean when installed, and you won;t be the same. You may be able to get some pics from Dragon or Jspecracer of the mount I am talking about, puts all the coils in a triangle configuration.
