i habe a 87 turbo II and just installed the BNR stage 1 turbo (which is awesome by the way) lol. i would like to do a front mount intercoller, but i dont want to buy the it unless i know what i am doing. can anyone tell me exactly what i need to modify to install it. i know i need to pull the front bumper reinforcement out but idk where to run the pipes, i noticed a 2.5 in whole by the battery... is this where the piping goes through??? if so do i need to relocate the battery? and on the passenger side where does the pipe go threw??? anything will help if you can post pics showing where the pipes go thanks Kevin

There is a hole near the headlight where the wires go through on the pass side, it will need to be enlarged. Its also gets very tight to the throttle body if you retain the power steering pump, I have oval'ed some tubs on some kits to make clearance so the pipes don't rub. IIRC the greddy kit lets you retain the battery but you have to trim the tray and run a smaller battery. You can keep the rebar with most kits. I have a FMIC in my car, but there isn't much left of the front end using the core I used.

my car doesnt have power steering or a/c so which kit would you recommend? im trying to get a kit around 250-350$ thanks for the help

Check E-Bay for Godspeed's FC intercooler kits, they are about $400 before shipping. I have one on my FC and it required some cutting behind the headlight buckets by the windshield fill neck and by the battery tray. You dont need to relocate the battery, although it would make things easier. You do need to relocate the coil pack near the battery though. It is extremely tight between the driver side of the engine and the strut tower though. All in all, if you have worked on your car before and know it well, it is a 3 out of 5 on difficulty. The hardest part is mocking everything up so you dont screw it up!
