Well, I put my FC up on jackstands and removed the rear driveshaft today. It was cooked!!

Should I even bother taking it to the driveshaft place and having him see if he can put new u joints in it? I know they are 'non serviceable' u joints but does that mean I can't replace them or what?

They can probably do something for you.

Yea, I would take it to a driveline shop and have them check it out. They can probably put some in with zurk fittings, or press in some Mazda ones. You could even have it balanced while its there.

Curious enough, the Mazda ones are pressed in right? I've never actually looked at one.

Make sure they balance it if they put new u-joints on it!

Ive heard you have no choice but to replace it. But I would take it to a driveline shop to be sure.

Mazda doesn't sell u-joints for them, but a good shop should have something that would work. Another option would be to buy an aftermarket driveshaft from Mazdatrix. They have replaceable u-joints.

This would probably be your best bet.
