so i had a chance to look at a stock fc air intake setup. so we all know that the airbox goes to that crossover tube that pulls air from in front of the radiator.
but what we dont know is that that part in front of the radiator is sealed off, on the top its got those plastic bits that seal it from the radiator, and on the bottom its got a little flapper doodle that seals it from the bumper opening. so its not getting air from hot under hood, but its not exactly a cold air setup either. |
and?

and theres no point to keeping any of the stock intake, it sucks monkey balls

I still say that the one single mod that made the biggest power gains on my T2 was ditching the stock intake box and popping on a cone filter. That's without regard for dollars spent. Bang for the buck, it's absolutely no contest.

I think the idea was to try to get some air coming the the crack between the hood and bumper, well and shut the god damned engine up so old rich turds wouldn't complain that their sports car was "too" loud.

I thought the purpose of the TID, panel filter, air box, air tube, and rad panels was to prevent you from blowing up your engine.
