Can seats from a 1983 GSL fit into a 1988 GXL? If so, what kind of modification am I looking at having to do?

rumor has it that you can do this by swapping seat rails, but i havent done it, so no first hand knowledge, i'm just spreading internet hearsay

ive done this, i THINK i swapped seat rails, but i'm not sure, it was over 10 years ago! um either way though its pretty simple.



i do know that fc seats go right into the fb's....

Okay. I'll check with the guy when I go check it out, and ask him if he knows if they can be swapped.



It's kinda useless to try putting FC seats into the FB since the FC doesn't have any interior (including seats), and the FB I'm going to be yanking the seats out of has no engine in it, and is just going to be used for gutting and putting into the 2nd gen right now.

just saying usually people are putting fc seats into the fb's, but you can go the other way, its just been a decade since i did one....

Okay. I just can't wait to get out of school, so I can go check it out! If I decide to buy it, I'm going to get it painted either black or a metallic red. It depends on which color I like better.
