Hey everyone I was in the market for a great cat back. I would like to save money if it is possible but if the GReddy is that much better then i would get that. The Apex is a little bit less expensive so i would like some of your thoughts, expecially people who have these setups that are either happy or have some neg. thoughts. Thanks a lot

i have an n1 single and i love it, its LOUD but thast becuase of my sick ass piece of pipe that i consider my exhaust with no cat/resinator/presilencer or silencer.

greddy....eventhough i couldnt afford it when i got my catback since i didnt really have enough time to save up. mine needed to be replaced asap

IMHO the GReddy has a nicer exhaust note, and is also discontinued..so the ones you can get will be it, thus making it more rare and valuable later...
I'm going with the APEXi N1 duals because i love the angled look and it sounds pretty good too... if you have the cash, go w/ GReddy..besides rocky at rx7.com has had them for way too long, lol..he needs to get rid of 'em... |

I have the Greddy Power extreme 60/80mm catback and I like it. i only have the stock to compare it to but I love it.
The exhaust note is deep but not loud at all. The one thing I did not want to sound like is rocks in a coffee can and this does not. The mufflers are huge. It is well built but expensive. RX-7.com (Rotary Performance) has a deal with Greddy to continue making these as a custom order for the 2nd gens. They have to wait until a certain number are ordered then they make them. I had to wait close to 5 months for mine but it was worth it. Here is a photo of the ass end of mine. |

Unfortunately I do not and I have no way of getting any. I will see if I can get some help on that but I don't have any way of recording any.

i have the n1's and i like the sound better when the silencers are left in the muffler. i like the note because its not too aggressive yet deep. but my car is stock right now, i dont know what theyll sound like when i put on a header and take out teh cats

I have the Apexi duals and I like the way they look with the angled tips. They are expensive though. Ive had em for about a year and a half but now im a little tired of how wide the tips are. Im in the mood for something a little more modest in tip size now.

I go for the Greddy. I hate the angled look of the N1's. Plus i love the "Dragger" look of the PE.
|
Apexi N1 all the way. Those PE's look WAY too big for the car. They are better suited for a Supra, WRX, or Evo. Honestly.
I have the 3'' Racing Beat turbo-back exhaust, single tip. It's 3inch all the way back till the muffler, and the muffers aren't huge, but they create a little bit of back-pressure which is good, AND they look bad as ****. :P |
