I finally cranked over my motor yesterday.
(After I realized I forgot to connect the Turbo Drain pipe (what a MESS). After I zeroed my timing I finally got it started. I haven't got a downpipe connected... but I was very surprised that it wasn't very loud. I used to run my Supra Turbo with just a Downpipe, no mufflers and it was streetable. Question: Anyone else doing that with a Turbo Rotary Motor? I'd like to dump the exhaust right in behind the front wheel on the passenger side. For comparison sake... I had started a N/A Rotary with no mufflers and YES it was LOUD. |
you sir...... are deaf
No seriously... I have heard HONDA's that are louder than that... with their fat FART Cans hanging out the back.
i drove my 20b to the muffler shop and back twice with no exhaust. it really was way too loud but it sounded so good!
the turbo muffles it somewhat
no back-pressure at all on that turbo rotary = bad
When I took the cats off of my stock setup, I listned to it without the DP and it is no where close to how it is now. I can understand it not being that loud. My car is louder with mufflers now than with no DP with the stock turbo.
And also, are you trying to get attention from the cops or what.... |
