My 88 TII stalls whenever a load is put on the engine. Press the brakes, it stalls. Turn the power steering, it stalls. I checked the TPS, timing, cleaned the BAC, changed vacuum lines-still the same thing. I'm on the roof ready to jump (not the roof of the car). Any ideas? It's basically stock, cat-back, fuel cut, Wal. fuel pump and thats it. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683358.gif

Is ur alternator working?
|
check your charging system
sounds like a faulty battery rather than an alternator.. but faulty batteries can happen from toasted alternators or a battery reused when an alternator just got pooched and replaced. |
Brand new battery, charging system is good.
|
How about ur battery terminals, are the connected good?
|
terminals are fine.

Make sure you have good engine grounds, chassis grounds, ECU and misc sensor grounds..
If you don't find the problem there... How well does the engine run? Make alot of power? Yes? No? |
Engine runs good. Good compression, burns very little oil, just takes a while to warm up.
