cool! most of those wires are for the haltech?

1Revvin7 12-05-2002 08:37 PM

yes the big bunch is, but I am also rewiring the CPU wiring, that nasty old harness.

Rotaryman88 12-05-2002 08:46 PM

Nice job so far man....it makes me want to keep the stock ECU longer, lol....I can't go haltech for another few months....let me know how ya like it, what setup did you go w/ flying loom or ?

keep it up....

1Revvin7 12-05-2002 08:52 PM

its the flying loom. That the one where u have to make all the connections and its not pre-cut, but will be a much nicer install.

Apex13B 12-05-2002 09:33 PM

Hey man, nice job.... Im fixing to put my 87 TII motor in a 92 n/a......Any pointers on redoing the ecu harness?

j9fd3s 12-06-2002 01:22 PM

convert the 87t2 motor to 89 and it will make life super easy

mike

cymfc3s 12-06-2002 01:34 PM

Drop a S5 T2 motor in the S5. Save yourself the headache. Its alot of work.

Turbo II 12-06-2002 01:45 PM

looking good

well in redoing my CPU harness, you just have to take the whole thing apart, then plug it all in and retrace the wires and such. Then im getting rid of all the connectinons not in use, capping each one seperatly at the main stream piece or right after the cpu. But if you're gonna redo the ecu harness you should really just buy a new one or get a new one with a standalone as i am doing, the old one is shitty. IM also using bigger wires for the grounds and battery pos and negative.

Why would that be?

1Revvin7 12-10-2002 04:09 PM

the before pix. now im gonna get the corksport Type II front bumper and new fenders maybe their wide front fenders and lose the bra. Also loose the s4 bumper strips and throw on s5 painte matched ones or loose em all together. And do shaved door handles/

BigTurbo74 12-10-2002 05:29 PM

does anyone know of a way to smooth out the body lines by taking off those bumper strips and make something fit in there flush?/? that would look awesome

norotor_nomotor 12-10-2002 07:50 PM

damn man ur cars lookin good... cant wait to hear how well it runs, so how much have u blown on it so far?? buying the car and everything
