I'm in the middle of an engine swap between my '87 NA GXL and my '86 NA Base. The '86 engine is going into the '87 b/c the '87 has no rear rotor compression.
As it sits, the '86 engine isnt out yet, but it will be soon. Because this is my first experience with the 13B NA Rotary engine, I'm asking if anyone wants to post some advice on what to do after its out. The '86 has about 130k on it, wasnt treated too well before I bought it, and just has a lot of wear and tear in general. Thanks for the support in advance! -FNG #000...000317 |
I would say to check out the transmission front cover gasket, and make sure it's not leaking. A new throwout bearing would be a good idea. If you can get the pilot bearing out then changing both it and the seal would be a good idea.

Cool. Thanks Ace.
