recently my car some times stalls when its just been turned on. it also does this i've just got done redlining a few gears. it will just stall, What might this be? just need new spark plugs or something??

I'd start with a compression check, check for vacuum leaks, and then do all the usual tune-up stuff.

Do you need a special engine pressure gauge to check on rotaries? usual tune-up stuff? meaning new fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs, those type of things i'm guessing? i do have a vacuum leak, haven't been able to get up to 17 psi, can't find where i'm leaking though.

A regular compression gauge with the valve core removed will work. Look for pulses of equal magnitude. I believe there is a detailed discussion of this elsewhere on the forum.



The vacuum leak could very well be the problem.

I've been trying to figure out that vacuum leak forever, i'm only boosting to about 14 now adays instead of 17. very annoying, can't find where its at.
