well, i sold my 13b-re cosmo engine, but still need an engine for my 91 n/a rx7. i was wondering how difficult it would be to build and install a s5 4 port n/a engine (tII block, n/a rotors) what intake and exhaust manifolds should i use? i have a 6 port to get the rotors out of, possibly other parts. also, how difficult would this be to install in my car? can i use the existing ecu and wiring harness? would a stock ecu handle this even if its ported? how much power could i expect? 200whp? the only way i know to get a lot of power out of a rotary is to put on a turbo, but i'd rather keep it n/a. thanks.

i will also do rotaryman88's staged n/a upgrades, plus a streetport. also, does anyone make high performance chips/programmers (like jet, hypertech, superchips) for fc's? would that increase hp? would a piggyback system increace hp? thanks.

You want to know what you're getting yourself into? An awesome car with more than it's share of problems. In fact, the only other car to beat the FC at having a world of issues...is the DSM. I know that doesn't answer your question, but hell, it sort of does.

i have done a lot of research on making a TII into an NA. a lor of people blast me for it and say stay turbo. i like all-rotor appeal also. sooo...



easy to intstall into your car. same mounts. i would go with a complete stand alone ECU. if you dont. expect horrible gas milage, very low and weak power band, and soon enough...no engine at all. you can use the stock turbo II lower intake manifold with the FD upper intake manifold with port matching and some drilling. or go to tweakit.net and get there individual throttle body set up. and there weber style lower manifild. racing beat headers. look for 250 + HP depending on tuners. i say closer to 280 HP. you will be better of with either haltech or a microtech for choice ECU. but it really depends on tuners in your area. what they can work with.

most people around here are scared to try tuning rotaries, and i dont know how to tune.

so tuning a rotary is a little different. but if your going to build it rotary style. tuning is the ONE most important aspect. do an internet search for shops. some one tunes rotary in your area.
