Hello all,

I need a little help;

the background. I have a 1988 RX-7 that I put a 13B-rew engine in. She ran fine until I installed a front mounted intercooler kit. The car is now hard to start and only stays going for a few moments. I was told to get rid of the Air Flow unit when installing the Kit could this be causing the issue? some help would be nice.

Thanks.

Okay so I did some research and it looks like I need to keep the AFM, however I have an issue of Space I'll have to move it over to the Passanger side of the car but if I attach it to the Turbo intake tube it almost hits the Rad and leaves no space for my air filter..

Has anyone created something like this or a solution???? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/unsure.gif

Are you currently running the car with a AFM . Because you absolutely need it i got a similar problem with my turbo II it will run fine untill operating temp then it just stalls out dont have a clue why i just adjusted out the idle screw a little bit which is probably just covering up the problem

Hey,

It won't even stay running and I think it's because of the AFM not being attached, hence the ECU can't adjust the fuel level..

If you have the REW installed you shouldnt have a AFM because you should be using a map sensor instead.
