Hey,
My Victoria British catalogue arrived in the mail today, and I saw the "Hyper-Flex Complete Master Bushing Set" (p40). It sounded pretty good for a complete overhaul. I was just wondering if anyone has tried this? or just general comments about the product? |
Everyone who has replaced the bushings with aftermarket ones, has loved it...
|
Sweet, if I got this kit.. would there be any other suspension
bits I should replace while i'm at it? |
I was thinking about the RB sway bar links. What got me is that on their website, they said they've had testemonials where people have noticed a difference with their stock swaybars, with the rb links.
|
a good or bad difference?

my mistake! I meant the mazdatrix ones. Here's what they say: The original equipment anti-sway bar links have an amazing amount of compliance in their rubber bushings. The 89-92 RX-7's still have compliance but are made of plastic, and we have already replaced some that were broken. The increase in handling firmness and steering response is very noticeable when our bar links are installed, """even when retaining the original anti-sway bars.""" The adjustable links also allow setting the bars to "zero pre-load" with the weight of whichever person is normally driving the car. |
wow, that makes sense.
The Energy Suspension says it includes "front and rear sway bar bushings" is this the same thing? |
look on page 54, in the bottome left picture, title "Front Sway Bar Components." Item #1 is the sway bar bushing, and item #5 is the sway bar end link.
I'm looking at the 2003 winter edition, so I hope the page numbers are the same. |
I would recommend ordering from:
http://www.suspension.com/ I have purchased the Energy Suspension (Master Kit)bushings from them. They have good prices. They are also a stocking warehouse distributor for them, due to the volume that they sell. If Energy Suspension makes it, odds are,...these guys have it in stock. Keep in mind though, they stock the black graphite impregnated bushings. You can ask for the red bushings, but they have to order those,....which took them about 2-4 weeks for them to arrive. (Also, the red bushings are not graphite impregnated). |
What exactly is the difference between the graphite/red bushings?
Edit: Performance wise.. |
