i am getting ready to swap in my tubro drivetrain (minus engine) and am preparing to turbo my N/A motor as well. I want to remove everthing i can except the power steering and prolly keep the A/C as well. So basicaly wondering what i can ditch and if there are links or something explaining/showing what can be romved as i am fairly new to rotaries. I have heard about the BAC and a bunch of other stuff but i have no idea what/where the stuff is. I plan to just make my own block of plates so that isnt a concern here...

Block off plates are pretty cheap. I'd suggest just buying a set. Not sure how much can be removed with your OEM ECU barfing up a trouble code. Easiest thing is to just run a Standalone (Haltech).

Well, im not going to dump too much money into it at the moment because i will be doing a 5.0HO swap probably this fall if not sooner. However i have everything needed to turbo the car so i figured while i was tearing it apart to do that i might as well get rid of a few things... As far as setting off the check engine light. As long as the car still runs fine i dont care if there is a little light on...

And don't go with the 5.0, it's a pain in the ass. Use some sort of Chevy engine. I'm still trying to finish my motor swap, there is very little help online from folks who have done this swap, and the companies that provide hardware for the swap aren't any help either. You'll also end up cutting a hole in your hood, or having to put spacers between your front subframe and body to move the engine down.

I'm getting frustrated with this "project".
