this all started after the fuel pump switch went to s**t.

(may not even apply to problem)

replaced it then all of a sudden the clock blacks out and resets to 1:00

whenever i open the door or try and turn the spot lights on (barely comes on)

before this, everything worked fine. i knew what time it was

and the spot lights were bright.

i did have a problem with the cigarette lighter and radio (just wouldn't turn on)

so i sought out the fuse box. while there i did discover a jumper wire

(will find out where it goes later) so i left that alone for the time being.

<~ not the best with electrical so i'm searching for some help on where to start.

Check the ground on the battery make sure you have a tight connection, check the ground on the engine to the firewall right near where the A/C core hoses go into the firewall. Should be a spade connector on the firewall with a wire.

If in doubt, add a ground from the battery negative to anywhere on the chassis, I usually connect it to the leading coil mount on one of the bolts.

Now, open your doors, and remove the door switch, scrape the mounting surface underneath (when installed you wont see it), and scrape the surface where it's touching on the chassis for a better ground.

Next, those crappy ass clocks always break and never work, so, get another one, I've unexplicably gone through 2 or 3 of the S4 clock/warning light assemblies.
