I have a 90 GTU and I'm having trouble with my turn signal. A little over a month ago my right turn signal would occationally not work. If I messed with the turn signal lever it would eventually start working again. Now it doesn't seem to work at all, but it's only the right blinker. The left blinker works perfect, and I have no idea why. I've had both blinkers go out on other cars and there was just one device that needed to be replaced. I've replaced the bulbs as suggested by two different sources which didn't work. Another thing I should mention... when I try to use the right blinker, I can hear the usual clicking noise, but it's twice as fast as normal and the instrument panel singal light does not flash. Does the Rx-7 have a unique flasher component (one left and one right), could it be the turn signal lever, or could it be some other electrical problem?

Any help would be great https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

I would put my money on electrical. A short, flasher, etc... I would normally say you could rule out the switch since you can here the flasher, but since you wiggled it and the signal started to work your short may be in the switch it self. Maybe check voltage at the back of the flasher on both left and right signals and compare the two. I believe the same flasher is used for both left and right signals, so my guess would be a short somewhere.

The flasher module is located inside the CPU--driver's side kick panel. That's probably the problem. It's about $50-60 new, but you can probably find one used for $10-20.

Is there one per signal or a separate module for each side, I couldn't remember?

It's one unit for both. I had one go bad once. It looked like a resistor blew. When I touched the burnt up area the malfunctioning blinker worked. So I wound up soldering a wire to the messed up area(other end was left hanging), and it worked fine. Strange.
