Ok, stock fan and shroud is to bulky and ugly... whats a good electric set up to go with? I want something that has a lil bit of a shroud built in.. any ideas??
hook me up with some part numbers fellas.. lol |
Are you wanting to swap to an e-fan just for the looks? The stock fan cools best.
|
I want to clean it up under the hood a little bit and i hate when i leave redlights how the fan is engaged for like 4 seconds and its noticable lag..
the temp guage never moves past 1/3rd of the way up neways.. |
a fan from a taurus. not sure what year, but the junk yards are loaded with them. they pull 3000cfm. most aftermarket fans barely hit 2000cfm. best upgrade fan wise in my opinion.

The stock fan does drag alot on the NA motors!
I agree with sen2two, pick something up from a junk yard... unless you want to spend alot! And factory fans do spin hard! |
If you can feel the fan dragging on your motor, your fan clutch may be bad.
|
the taurus fan is a huge drain on your alternator, especially a s4 alternator
I picked this up from Sneedspeed- I thought it was a great deal, I opted for a heavier duty fan, but thats because I am keeping AC and have a FMIC link to sneedspeed http://www.sneedspeedshop.com/store/...x7shroudbg.jpg http://robx-7.nopistons.com/d/1976-1...o0002v_001.JPG |

Yup! or in areas that are hot! It can be checked with the highly technical "spin test"! |
robs fan is probbly your best bang for the buck is not expensiv at all but if ur stuck on the junk yard the fiero efan is probly your best bet
|
I upgraded mine to a 3300 or something like that, but Chris at sneed says the standard one keeps thier track car cool as-is.
i was just worried about being in traffic with the ac cranking and airflow through the IC |
