where is the best place to mount EGT PROBE on a stock s4 turbo? would it be on downpipe or manifold?
and wat are the round bout numbers i could be seeing at each place. |
I prefer a bung in each runner in the turbo manifold.
Numbers are going to vary big time from setup to setup. I usually see 13-1600 F @ wot. |

i put mine in the down pipe directly after the turbo. but your car will be diff temp then mine depending on your fuel map |
Wouldnt it need to be in the manifold? egt's will change after they go through the turbo, you need the ones in the maniflold.

pineapple racing has a GREAT deal on a dual temp E.G.T. guage(for 2 manifold runners) that measures up to 1900F. The group buy price is like 225 i think, check it out on www.rx7club.com

I was thinking in maybe manifold also, but unfortunatly I can't afford the great priced pineapple so ima have stick to single for now.

Thats kick ass...just what I've been looking for.. My setup will have one in each runner and one in the DP...
