I have been trying to get my efan to work with the Haltech E6X. I have it all set up correctly in the ECU with my temps for engagement and dis-engagement all locked in, the correct accessorie wire for the one used in the computer, but its still not working. Im thinking maybe I have my relay wired wrong, which I'm pretty sure is right, or the ECU is fucked up. Can somebody give me a list of what wires go to what prongs on a 5 prong, 30 amp relay? much appreciated.

if its one of the bosch relays theres a picture on the side of it. i did mine with a 4 pin relay, you can check it with an ohm meter, the 2 pins with continuity are the trigger part and the 2 pins without are the load/switched part.

I am not sure about the E6X, but the E6K supplies GROUND for the efan. With that said:



Pins - To\From

85 - 12V (a 18gauge cable should do)

86 - Ground cable coming from E6K

30 - THICK 12V cable (12 gauge) from the battery

87 - THICK 12V cable (12 gauge) to the efan

87a - You won't be using it

The X supplies a switched ground also. The 85 pin can be a constant 12V+, no need for switched since you're switching the ground. I just run a small loop from the 30 pin to 85 for simplicity.

So your saying that I need 12V power to 85 and 30?

Yes, and as C. Ludwig said, you can use a thick cable (12Gauge) on pin #30, and then a jumper from pin #30 to pin #85, tha jumper can be a thin cable (18 gauge).
