I just lost to an 93 accord! :(

having non working 6 ports really suck.

now if I open my intake manifold, is there a lot of pieces in there? I'm scared to break something!

thanks

It's pretty straightforward. You should be able to get to them without removing the lower intake manifold.

Yeah, it would be nice to replace them, but if they're in good shape you could just add some silicone to the flanges for good measure.

DCmina 08-09-2002 10:22 PM

anyone knows where I can get some? I looked at mazdaformance.com but couldn't find any.

DCmina 08-09-2002 10:47 PM

The $23 gasket is usually still good when you remove it. So don't bother with that one since you're probably not going to remove the lower intake manifold.

Rob x-7 08-10-2002 12:43 PM

Eh, youll probably still lose to the same Accord, lol

That's what I was thinking.

DCmina 08-10-2002 07:33 PM

and why's that? I'm actually quicker than it, but I was in 3rd gear. If I would have put it in 2nd, I would have won. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR

I don't have to remove the lower intake manifold?

I got the upper one removed right now, but have a hard time removing the lower one.

The actuators are on the outside of the manifold.

rotarychainsaw 08-10-2002 09:27 PM

I didnt have to take off any manifolds to take off my actuators. are you taking out the sleeves or something?

DCmina 08-10-2002 10:44 PM

I'm trying to install Pineapple Racing sleeves and make my 6 ports work. I don't have to take the lower intake manifold then?

If you're changing the sleeves then you should remove the entire manifold.
