So I had my rotating assembly balanced over a year ago. After running with a ACT pro light flywheel (this was balanced with the assembly), now I'm thinking about switching to a 'street light' flywheel. My question is.. If I use my counter weight for this new/heavier flywheel it shouldn't throw the balance off, right? I want to be 100% sure before I take the next step, being the reason I ask.

Not a problem if the balancing was done correctly.

your assembly was balanced to your LIGHTER flywheel. putting a heavier flywheel on with counter weight that was tailored to other flywheel... I would defiantly think that would throw out the rotation.

Do you even know what you're talking about?

The weight of the counterweight is not dependent on the weight of the flywheel.

Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

he means, if the flywheel was balanced by itself, its ok to swap.

ive got a motor right now, thats got a balance issue, it runs fine, but it does this really freaky looking shake/dance thing
