I have been having a few strange feelings with my suspension and it all happend right after i installed brand new tires on all four corners. Checked tire pressure on all four tires and they are all even. I started to suspect maybe one the rear shock/strut units may be blown, but they are tokico 'blues' installed less than 20k miles ago and I could not see any noticeable signs of leaks. Sprngs are all new and Eibach produced, also with less than 20k on them.

Here is what i'm feeling. Any time during slightly moderate to WOT acceleration the vehicle will pull to the left, when the clutch is pressed to shift up to the next gear the vehicle will pull or nearly jerk to the right. I find myself compensating useing the steering wheel just to accelerate in a strait line.

I've been told that rear end bolts on the early 86' cars tend to come loose, or possible suspension arms or bushings failing completly, but right after new tires were installed? my GXL was produced in November of 85'. Was there a recall or Service announcement?

Any help on this matter would be great.

the fd's do that when the tires are unevenly underinflated.

since you said you coverd that, step 1 is to jack the rear end of the car up and see if the tires have any play. grab it and try to shake it. if it does move around you have a problem.

When I went from 205/60's to 225/50's I had a similar problem.

The problem was running sticker (35PSI) pressure in the negative cambered rears which reduced the footprint.

I now run 27PSI in the rears & 31PSI in the fronts.
