Anybody know what the stock weight of the steel side fenders are? I'm looking at getting some fiberglass ones and I'm just curious what the weight savings will be...

yea i've held mine once, its very thin and light, about 10 lbs. hardly worth saving weight there.

Well...i'm getting the fenders for the width and the vent they have in them.

Nope...

I was wonderin if anybody was gonna ask me where I'm getting them, lol. I guess I'll tell ya...corksport is now making them and I already emailed them and they told me that they weigh 5lbs(he should be posting the weight online soon)...they are $375 for the pair, and look awesome if you ask me...not to aggressive, but a good look.

I think it suppose to hep pull more air though for the brakes, atleast thats how it seems? only real reason i see to use them is becuase they are wider.

dunno what it vents considering you have all sheetmetal in that area of the car behind the fenders, maybe it will vent the door jamb if you dont install the plastic splash guard that weighs about 3 ounces? Probably all it will do is increase wind noise when you are on the highway?

I guess for more tire width, but the additional weight of the tires and wider rims will weight more then the weight savings of the fiberglass.
