I own a 1990 T2 and have had the Diff and Gear box rebuilt in the last year, The problem is i dont know how much power they can take without braking.

I have run over 400rwhp on the stock set up but with the 20b nearly ready to be fitted in the car i'm thinking Uprated Box,Diff and drive shafts?

I'm aiming for about 600bhp (flywheel) and dont want to brake the car on the strip? (trying to save the red face moment)

Have any of you guys been at this sort of level and Experianced what is strong and what is not?

Thanks.

as long as your not launching the car (dragstrip) i think it will be ok, once you start launching it, its gonna start breaking

Yeah I've heard those T2 tranny's are awesome just don't drive them hard all the time or you'll break as much stuff as Vosko did on his. :bigthumg:

So what would you Uprate first? I know the T2 is strong but i will be taking it down the strip maybe once or twice a year.

my tranny is original, except for a few shifter mods to fix the oil build up, and its perfect. 200k+ miles and i drove it hard.

if it only once or twice it should be ok. lets see, vosko broke the diff then the, axles, then the tranny so thats prolly your upgrade order
