The dreaded coolant light.

I'm having a problem with my coolant light.
I have the right amount of coolant in, but the light only comes on when I'm at idle or at slow speeds. When I'm on the highway 70 +/- it goes off. My engine is not overheating, there is no smoke coming from my exhaust.
And also, when I take a right corner at speed, the battery light comes on
I've replaced the thermostat. And that dreaded buzzer, I'm about to drive this thing off a bridge, scares the crap out of me when it starts buzzing.

I have pictures of the lights which should help more. I'll post them later on today.

Thanks.

Re: The dreaded coolant light.

if it's anything like the fb the coolant level light has nothing to do with the thermostat. there's another sensor either in the radiator or in the overflow (if you have one) that reads the coolant level. for the battery light, make sure your battery terminals are locked down. my fb used to do that in corners because the battery would slide and the negative terminal would pop off. it will still run with the battery unhooked, it's just a hell of a load on the alternator and likely to cook it.

In the FC, a small air bubble likes to get caught and trip the coolant sensor a lot. There's a air bleed plug/screw in the top of the radiator. Unscrew the rad cap and the bleed screw, fill the rad until you see fluid coming out of the bleed, and screw it back immediately (I always would have one hand pouring, the other hand ready on the screwdriver). Then complete filling it. Worked every time.

Not sure on the battery thing.

I forgot to mention, I've got a Koyo Radiator? Does it still have this bleed screw?

This is the coolant low light that wont go off, but why is the battery light on as well?

I apologize for the crappy cellphone pictures.

And this is the light ( Battery light) that comes on when I push the brake and when I take hard right corners.
