I just bought a 1990 RX-7. Its a great car but the car alarm is acting kinda funny. It went off a coupe times when the drivers door was unlocked and i opened it. It also went off once when i was just sitting in my house, no one was anywhere near the car. I think i figured out that if any door of the car is locked, passenger or driver, you can't open the other door, even if its unlocked, without putting in the key and turning it to the left. I don't really need an alarm where i live and would like to dissable it. I figured maybe i could pull the alarm fuse but i don't have a manual for the car and the fuses are only labeled with the number. does anyone know which fuse i have to pull or if there isn't a fuse, how i can disable the alarm?

Thanks in advance

I had a similar problem on the vert I just painted, the door handles werent even in the car, and it was sitting like that for a few weeks, but all of a sudden last week when it was sitting in the shop the alarm went off for no reason, not only were the doors NOT locked, the handles werent even installed in the doors, it had been sitting this way since December and the alarm never went off until the other day. I literally was just looking at the car and the alarm starting going off for no reason what-so-ever. I installed the door handles, cleaning the contact points on the door handles and the wiring harness and its been ok since.

It looks shady when your first and only post is asking about the alarm system.

actually i had this problem with the alarm going off for no reason. when it goes off just turn the key or lock the door. it would go off evey 10 mins or so. but this does look a little weird
