Hey guys.... after extensive searching on this forum, I found very little of the type of problem im having...

Alternator.... Well Im on my third alternator, the last one being the FD upgrade, all three of the voltage regulator screwed up on me..

The symptom first starts with all my idiot lights flickering on and off like circus lights, and then when it gets worse, my CD player turns off... and somewhere in between that, my headlights and dash lights, anything that lights up when you turn on your headlights goes really bright, and my heater fan gets stronger, but my car loses power like its running on one rotor... and the rpm gets really low.... my car idles at around 1500, I know its high but when the problem starts it goes as low as 6-500.

A lot of studdering, like the dreaded 3800 rpm hesitation also when i step on it.

When i took it to the shop, again, we found out it was overcharging...

This is my third time rebuilding and replacing the alternator, and im so clueless to what might be screwing with my V.R.

I read a thread about being the dimmer switch on the headlight switch. So I paid careful attention to that area, and I heard a little zapping sound from around there.... I'm gonna check this thing out maybe tonight or tommorow, but if any of you guys have had this kinda problem, and found a fix please let me know... any input is appreciated. Thanks!

If you heard zaping in the dimmer switch section replace that and see what happens.

I have a electrical problem on my new 1991 n/a coupe where the dash lights flicker on an off or totaly go out but nothing else... oh and the left turn signal clicks twice as fast as putting the right turn signal on it's weird.

Good luck!
