i have an 87tii, with some issues and i need to swap out ecu's to see if that is the problem. the spare ecu is a gforce 88tii ecu. i'm wondering if the swap will create a scenario to blow up my engine. the issue involves some low rpm hesitation that i think is a fuel issue, either pressure or dirty injectors, which would be rare cause the injectors were cleaned 15k miles ago.
btw - the gforce ecu removes fuel cut and retards timing above 8.5 psi. i'm pretty sure that's all it does, so i will have to temp disconnect the fcd on my car now if i can use it |
yeah ecu's swap out no problem

Good. The difference in the high and low impedence for the injectors makes no difference?

that would be on a 89 when they changed em.
no, it wouldn't, they changed them partway through the S4's. |
j9fd3s was right.
The injectors are different, the ECUs are the same. It's the implementation of the resistor pack or not. So the ECU needs the ~13ohms in both cases. Cheers |
Hmm, I will try this after I check my primary injectors then.
