So last weekend my buddy took me for a ride in his Galant VR4 to show me what his new turbo could do. He had a datalogger attached to a Palm Pilot. It attaches to the OBDII port and pulls all sorts of useful info. I know my 88TII doesn't have an OBDII port, but is there anything out there short of plunking down mucho dinero for a Haltech that'll allow me to get that sort of info from my car onto a palm or pc in realtime?

The Innovative Motorsports LM-1 Wideband O2 sensor system has datalogging available with their option 2 harness, about $460 for the package.

The TechEdge wideband O2 sensor also has similar capabilities (3 x 0-5V inputs, 3 thermocouple inputs plus RPM and wideband A/F ratio). If you can solder get the DIY kit for < $260 US shipped including the sensor from 1stvwparts.com, including the display.
