Hi all,



Was hoping the '88 would behave itself a long time after feeding it $4400 in new parts. I was driving after dark a few days ago when the dash lights went out all of a sudden. EVERYTHING else lights and works so I think a fuse is out of the question. I just printed out the relevant pages from the manual, but I thought the smart thing would be to ask you guys first before I start tearing the dash apart. Is this a common problem? I'm guessing it's the switch. Thanks.

I had my Dash lights go out in my 86'... but when they went out, i lost Brake lights too. Strange that mazda would connect the Dash lights, with the Brake lights.





It could be so many things, FC's have alot of interior electrical problems.



Check your fuse box (Left drivers foot area) for any blown fuses

Check the wiring harness going to the switch, trace it all the way under the dash, some people get a wire in that bundle that burns out, or it could be the switch.
