I broke one of the studs on it today while removing the precat. Its not really broke but the nut was seized so the stud backed out. I put 2 gaskets on and just tryed just tightening the the stud up it was no good i got a huge exhuast leak there now. Maybe tightening it up a little more if i can will help. Anyone else ever have this problem?

I ended up just having a guy weld everything

liquid rench the stud let it sit over night and then take a pair of vice grips to it the next day that should work then u just pick up a shiny new one at ur local hardware store https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png at least thats waht i do when i break studs exause is gonna be hard cause of the heat expansion and contraction u might wind up breaking it more. spray it down good b4 hand

ditch it and get a header https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

the studs on exhaust parts like to break off, thats just how exhaust is, especially if the car is driven in snow&salt.

That happened to me. You can tighten two bolts agains each other on one side then use some plyers or I put it in a vice (the two tightened bolts) and then loosen the stuck nut. The penetrator is always a good thing to use.

i used penetrator when it was stuck and thats when it came out from the manifold instead of the nut coming off https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683664.gif

Use PB Blaster https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif it is the best kind of penetrating oil, you can get it at wally world.

Yeah headers baby..!

That's nothin'. Wait 'til you break one of the block studs off flush. Or find it missing as in my case. A few hour sidetrack with oodles of profanity.
