Yeah that won't be just that simple...... n/a driveshaft won't bolt up, but it would be good idea https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

pengaru 03-29-2003 02:30 PM

isn't the t2 tranny heavier?

vosko 03-29-2003 02:37 PM

i've also heard the same thing...given that the housing and internals are more robust, i think that it would be a nice trade off

banzai....weight your NA tranny

CrazyAssRX7 03-29-2003 04:36 PM

well if i got the t2 tranny id need the flywheel clutch driveshaft an all and is rather expensive

i want to but not now

now i just really need a manual good workin cheap tranny

so if anyone knows anyone or anything let me know

thankz guyz

13_b_kid 03-29-2003 08:42 PM

Hmmm I also have the TII flywheel, clutch in good shape and the driveline. You could have all that and the tranny for $375 then all you need is the rear end! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif lol If not its all good! To bad it didnt go out like 4 months ago cause I gave a way an N/A tranny

pengaru 03-29-2003 11:02 PM

you're running an NA so getting your NA tranny rebuilt would probably be fine.

You might want to consider having pineapple racing build yo ua NA box with the miata gears, closer ratio than the NA FC.

didnt bonzai offer you one for $125? For that price if it last you a year consider yourself lucky!

You can go locally and get yours rebuilt when you take it out, rebuild should run you about $500 or so.

On the subject of Transmissions. Mine is real whiny! lol

I think the syncros are starting to go bad. Just because every gear makes alot of noise

How much would a simple rebuilt cost?

I remember when i first bought it. 3rd gear would grind no matter what i did

Than i tried Clutchless driving (Rpm shift matching) for about a week

It finally went away! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/unsure.png Lol, so basically i need to know how much a rebuilt on my tranny (215,000 miles) would cost.

THanks

banzaitoyota 03-30-2003 10:38 PM

You are right, Locked in the HOUSE OF BANZAI all weekend!!! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Tranny has 104,000 miles on it. Out of the totaled 86 Sport I am parting out.

have you no transmission shops in the yellow pages?

Any friends with repair shops? They usually dont do thier own

trannies and can reccomend someone. There is nothing rotory specific

about a RX-7 tranny.
