I think I might build a custom FMIC from dodge starion parts...I've seen a bunch of other FCs running a FMIC using the starions IC and well...its a LOT cheaper then a GReddy or HKS....anybody do this, know somebody who has...or knows of any reason why NOT to do this...let me know.

I'm interested in doing the same. I got to looking at FMIC's today and started wondering why couldn't I do this. The Mitsubishi starion ic does look bigger and would be a cheap alternative to a new FMIC.
I mean are their any restrictions on the size of intercooler you can run on an FC? What about taking two stock t2 ic's and running them in sequence up front? I was even wondering if it would be possible to run the stock IC in original location in addition to running a front mount? To me it sounds as if the applications are limitless. MIke |
them starion IC are supposedly really good. My friend with a T2 in his GSL-SE got an IC from an NPR (Deisel truck). That thing is big, and supposedly works damn good!

Custom is better than the kits. The piping in the kits is very convoluted.

There must be a dozen IC's on ebay anywhere from $50 to $200. Including the starion IC.
I just wish I knew if running sequential IC's is a waste of time. Mike |
