Thumbs up

Well here is the deal, I got an S4 GTX (TII in the states) and i was doing some touge with a couple of friends, I spon out and hit the rail, well i open my hood to check the damage. I took out the battery to hold my bumper with a cord, but i was so in a rush that I put the battery the wrong way and the burned the main fuse, change it with an other one since i had a wiring harness on my trunk.

The car didn't start and i could hear the fuel pump turning on ones i turn the key to the on position and all the power will just go, my turbo timer starts turning on an off while I crank so as my dash and my tach will go backwards yes backwards from 0 to 10k rpm and each time it cranks one step back, 2 cats driving a couple FCs stop to help us but since i speak a crappy japanese i call my wife so she could translate but since she doesn't know car terminology they could help but they call a tow truck for me. now the car is on my parking lot and i got an event coming up and need my car running please help!! by the way i try boosting the car with my friend car but didn't help either, same problem. (aftermarket tach)

ouch. Id say fried ecu but your pump turns on and i figure the fuse blowing saved your ecu.

explain this part better for me to understand:

" I crank so as my dash and my tach will go backwards yes backwards from 0 to 10k rpm and each time it cranks one step back"

I accidentaly hooked my battery up wrong a couple months ago. I blew the Main fuse, as well as a few random ones in the interior fuse block. I've heard stories about people hooking up a bettery wrong and frying either their ECU or one of their coils. Hope that helps.

Could it possibly be the main relay?

if the car is cranking the main fuse and **** should be fine, he said he replaced it anyway.

id start at the basics, make sure youre getting fuel and spark. im thinking ecu or something ignition based.

Well if i turn on my fuel pump comes on, all electrical works so far. If i turn my light on and crank the engine my turbo timer will go with out power so as my dash lights and headlights, regardless if the headlights are on or off. just like if you were traying to start the car with low battery, my fuel pump will only shut up if it turn the switch all the way back. My aftermarket tach will spin counterclock wise it will jump in reverse from 0 to 10K and as i crank it will go one step back from 10 to 9 to 8 and then stop there.
