I local buddy of mine has a problem with his TII, and a shop told him he needs a crank angle sensor. I have a bunch of spare parts, I'd probably give it to him, but I'm not sure if it's the same for n/a and TII. Also I'm not sure where it's located (unless that's what the CAS is, in which case I do know where it is).

Yup same thing on those engines..CAS is what your looking for...the thing with the round black top just to the right of the altinator...
|
Got it, thanks!

yep, 86-91 is all the same
|
haha, turns out he had a massive fuel leak, not a bad CAS.

hell, the smell of gas would give it away!
|
Supposedly the shop told him about the CAS, "well, that sensor could last forever, or your car might not start tomorrow." Fiddlesticks I say!
I believe it was some sort of tire shop working on his car. I was surprised anyone would bother working on it, since this TII is highly modified (by the previous owner). |
another reason to try to avoid shops.
