so after hearing a few fc1000's burn out i was getting worried....what do you know. mine burnt out the first day...not buying another one to do the same.
so im looking at the Crane Cam HI-6, or like every other car out there. an MSD 6A. everyone seems to love the 6a's, but i like to try different approaches. anyone here ever run the Crane Cam HI-6? how did you like not, or not like it? |

crane looks like a better option to me. what is the price difference?
|
new the crane is a bit more exspensive new.
but i was looking around on eBay and whatever. although the crane is harder to find used. they seem to re-sell for a lot less. most likely becuase not many people even know about it. but everybody and there mother knows what a 6a is... |
i think everyone runs the msd, cause its easy, but the crane works just as well and used to be cheaper.
i know ted's had the crane on his car since the middle 90's |
i been looking at both. there pretty much the same. and only one wire difference for hook up. i'll most likely end up with the MSD cause there everywhere all the time. the crane is a little harder to come by. well, used anyway.
i found this gold colored hi-6 . not black like the rest. and it dosnt sey fireball like all the other hi-6's. its actually a hi-6TR. i cant find any info on it. i know its supposed to come with a timing retard. but it dosnt have it. i dont need that anyway. you ever seen the gold ones? i think its just an older model. |
yeah they used to all be gold, i dunno when they switched, maybe 02ish?
