CP RACING & DESIGNS (www.cpracing.ca) flush mount light kit for all 86-92 2nd generation Mazda Rx7s. The lightweight, one piece, fibreglass buckets house a single 4 inch (optional angel eye) high beam and a 3 inch low beam Hella brand light. Quick and easy installation designed for use with factory hood, fenders and bumper. Does not require removal of any bodywork. Considerable weight savings due to elimination of the factory lights and cover, pop up mechanism and all associated armatures and linkages. High power bulbs replace the heavy, dim and pitted pop up sealed beams. Uses Hella 55W bulbs, plug and play wiring with existing factory harness. A durable lexan cover has been formed to follow the contours of the original headlight cover, it forms a water tight seal over the lights. Vents allow air to pass beneath hood for lower under hood temperatures. A comprehensive installation guide is supplied with the kit. Comes with all necessary brackets and hardware for installation. Replacement bulbs are available at any automotive or hardware store. And as always our price includes taxes and shipping. Because we cannot constantly monitor the forum, we ask you direct all questions to sales@cpracing.ca as we will not be replying here. Thank you for your cooperation,
Price: $650.00- to your door. Chris CP Racing & Designs |

Looks like you have to cut out the top part of the front fascia down to the FTP?

I dont like how they come all the way down like that. I wish they could just fit in the original headlight placement. not have to remove the bumper peice and the ftp's
|
Ummm......ugly
|
Ill stick with my pop-ups, thank ye very much.
|
I like the east baer kit. its the best I've seen 2nd only to the fc2000
|
if you have nothing nice to say then keep it to yourself
doesnt seem like the thread was asking opinion, it was announcing the product and pricing. they are making products for FCs, we should be happy at that, and they also happen to be one of the sponsors for this site if you dont like it, dont buy it |
Sorry, I want trying to down the product, I think they look good, I just dont have that much money to spend on headlights.
|
its just typical of the FC crowd
"no one makes products for our cars, waaa waaaaaaa" then someone does and its: "can you make it this way instead" "too much money" "I can do that with $5 at home depot" "so and so makes the same thing" it never ends I tell you https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/blink.png |
oh... sorry. feel free to delete my other post.... serious, not being sarcastic.
|
its ok, maybe i went off the deep end a bit
|
No rob, I do not think you did...
you are right on with the post. People want a $1000 part for $2.50 Most FC owners bought them with the hopes of buying a FD one day... |

not bad for $650, and i'm sure it would save a good amount of weight and simplicity. a much better option than rebuilding broken or damaged pop-up lights.
when my other 7 was backed into, the lights were jacked up, and never worked the same, ever after a considerable amount was spent to force them to pop back up. also, much cheaper than the RE Ademyeklejreklj (or however you spell it) kit, which is like $2000+. |
i like the hella lights, also. a buddy of mine has a buell firebolt with two small hella lights, and it looks hella tight.

Cutting away part of the front fascia to install these I think I would classify as removal of bodywork I wasn't trying to be facetious, keep your comments to yourself |

Dammit Rob, Chris said it doesn't require any removal of body work, which is what I quoted

Sorry, grumpy about my FC3S' body panels not being finished on time, it's stressing me out
I like that conversion if I have to cut out that spot I would rather do it now while the fascia is being prepped for new paint anyways |
Show pics of the back of this thing. How it mounts ect ect. Its not just how good it looks on the car but how well it can be attached and what the quality looks like from the side you dont see.

If someone wants to make comments on this product why the hell cant they? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...closedeyes.gif If we cant make comments on this thing then this thread is just advertising and it should be locked. This is a forum. People discuss things. Thats why it exists. Good or bad ...deal with it. GregW |

GregW of the sponsors of this website its not people "commenting"thats bad, its seems that people only have negative things to say when someone is making the effort to make products for a car that hasnt been produced in over 13 years shame of it is people will ask for pics and specs and meanwhile they have NO intention of buying anything |
i agree that if something is advertised and nothing but unconstructive, irrelevant opinions are posted then something is wrong. on the other hand there are cars older than most of us that still have some aftermarket support, do we need to give them a pat on the back too? i think people make products because there is a market period. rob, i don't think gmon was saying that it should be locked because of it being 'unauthorized advertising.' i'm inferring that he thinks it should be locked so that no opinions could interfere with the FACT that the product is on the market. Especially since it was posted on a FORUM where people discuss things and ESPECIALLY since the first post said to direct questions and comments elsewhere. agreed? and finally if it wasn't for pics and specs, how the **** are you gonna sell anything over the internet anyway? OMG I'M PIST! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

You don't need to kiss his feet, but telling him it's ugly sure as hell isn't a show of appreciation. |

No, but I think people should show some appreciation for small businesses investing their time and effort into to something to be available for your car.

haha, that being pist part was sarcasm so everybody could see that i wasn't too worked up, but just trying to make a statement. i agree with rob on the email thing
|
To put it another way; IF you will not let us make comments on this(good or bad) THEN there is no point of keeping posting open and it should be locked.
I do make and sell things on line. The best criticizim I have ever had and the best changes I ever made to the product came from people who ripped my stuff apart. Im just sayin, if you put something on a message board any comments should be accepted otherwise there is no point in posting it to a messageboard. Im not going to comment further on this thing. I just wanted to see what the back of these looked like and wanted to tell the cencorship nazis to take a leap. GregW |
